So what is ACTS at St David’s?

Well, ACTS stands for: “Awakening  Compassion Through Theology and Spirituality.”

Our mission

is “To affirm and expand opportunities for adult spiritual development and learning within the context of the Christian faith both at St David’s and in the wider community.

Current Committee Members

On-going Events

Our wonderful on-going events under ACTS include the Book Study and Bible Study series. Persons (near and far) are welcome to join as we focus in on deepening our faith and understanding through the wonderful world of books. We study 2 books per year, September to November, then another from January to March.  We meet every Monday evening in person at the church and online.

The Bible Study series runs similarly, every Thursday morning and we choose a book from the Bible we would like to study each term.

Other activities of the ACTS Committee are the visits to Mount St Francis Retreat Centre, for a contemplation afternoon each spring.  Our next one is booked for spring 2023.

We extend a warm welcome to our partnership faith community of Northminster!  If anyone is interested to find out more, please enquire through the office and someone from the ACTS Committee will contact you.

St. David's Library

St. David's has it's own library selection of books. The books can be borrowed or read at the Church. The reading books are located in the Lobby near the fireplace and the reference and classic books can be found in the TM Room.
